I am having trouble getting codes to correctly work.
Attempting to boot with GeckoOS gives me the message that a cheat file was found and the game (SSBB) is in fact being loaded with cheats.
Upon accessing the game, the codes do not appear to be loaded and have no effect. One of the codes I tested was the "Infinite Lives in Classic Mode" code.

I am using the North American RSBE version of the game with System Menu 4.2U, CodeDownloader 1.5, CheatManager 0.3 and GeckoOS 1.9.3. Pressing home on HomeBrew channel also gives me "1.0.6" which I assume is the HBC version number followed by "IOS61 v21.29" which I assume to be an IOS version number which may or may not be relevant.

P.S. The "Support Thread" link in the SSBB FAQ thread is 404, hence the posting here.

Its probably the codes that you have.

mmxbass

I tried like 8 different codes... separately one at a time... all from geckocodes... I really doubt that it's the codes.

Thewill

Or the way you copy the codes.
Let me have a look at them.

mmxbass

Do you really think Code Downloader and CheatManager are doing it wrong? I didn't copy anything by hand. Why do it the hardware when established software can do it for you? Someone would have noticed by now if they didn't work.

Anyway, codes are of the format:

Infinite lives in Classic mode [jassim]
2D28AE67 00000005
0128AE67 00000005
E0000000 80008000

in /txtcodes/ and obviously binary format I can't copy here in /codes/.

Its either cuz your downloading the codes from another region or the codelist is too big,
Use the online cheat manger.

The region is clearly correct, I even mentioned this already in my original post.

The codelist is not too big. Regardless, if it was a problem with the list, then it wouldn't open in CheatManager, but clearly it does as I already stated in my original post. It also says in GeckoOS that the game is loaded successfully with codes.

Did you try codes on other games?
I hadn't until you asked me so I went and tried a code in New Super Mario Bros Wii and it worked perfectly. No problems there.

Thewill

what did you use the load the codes on brawl?

Romaap

Try other codes for Brawl, maybe its just those codes.
