Gecko 0S freezing wii

ok. i'm using gecko os via a SD card through the homebrew channel, im quite new to this, it all loads up fine, and i launch the game, when i press the home buttom to return home to all the channels, the screen just goes blank and i get no signal from my tv and i have to plug up the wii to reboot, any way to fix this? the other region free worked fine.

also is there a way to install this like the homebrew channel or do i have to keep going back to the homebrew to load it up.
and is there a way to save the config setting of gecko 0s so i dont have to change this all the time?
