Loading Gecko OS from Bannerbomb?

I haven't started playing with Gecko OS just yet since I don't have the HBC installed. I mostly just want to use Gecko OS to play around with some codes. I know the HBC is easy and safe and there is really no reason not to install it, but other than a little fooling around with Gecko OS I really have no reason to install it. I have just a few quick technical questions about how everything works and my options.

1) Why doesn't Gecko OS work when loaded from Bannerbomb?
2) Is it Gecko OS's fault or Bannerbomb's?
3) Can one or the other be tweaked to work right?
4) Is there currently any way to load Gecko OS without installing anything?
5) The previous answers might answer this one too, but for clarity: exactly what is it about HBC that allows Gecko OS to work right?

If anyone can help, that would be great. It's not terribly important that I find these answers, but I am very curious about the technical stuff. I did some searching but I haven't found much of anything on the topic since the HBC is the easiest and most convenient answer for pretty much everyone. Thanks for your time.

some more detail like which version of gecko os, and your wii's firmware version would be nice

Gecko just can't be loaded with bannerbomb, i have no idea why.
I also don't know if it is fixable but it's not necessary to fix because you can just install HBC and then load Gecko

Thanks for the replies. I was starting to wonder if I asked something inappropriate and was being ignored.  ;D

@mattwo:

For the record I attempted using Gecko OS versions 1.9.0.1, 1.9.1, and 1.9.2 all on Wii 4.1 US firmware. However, I was under the impression that Bannerbomb can't correctly load Gecko OS regardless of the version number or firmware number. Basically, I'm just curious as to the technical reasons why it won't work. What is technically different between how HBC loads a .dol/.elf and how Bannerbomb loads a .dol/.elf? I wasn't sure if anyone here might know the answer (for all I know it might be something related to the way Gecko OS is programmed as opposed to an issue in HBC or Bannerbomb), but I figured it couldn't hurt to ask.

@Romaap:

Like I said: I'm sure I'm a very small minority; I don't really want to install HBC if I can avoid it. I have absolutely nothing against the HBC; I know it's 99.9% safe and 110% easy to install. However, the only thing I want to do is try out a few codes on a game or two using Gecko OS, and besides that I have no need for the HBC. I was hoping someone might know a way to use Gecko OS without the HBC. I like the idea that when I reboot my Wii there is nothing left over from my fooling around. I realize there probably isn't another option since the HBC is pretty much perfect for everyone, but I thought I'd ask.
