ISO?

people at smashboards have been asking me this, and I want to know how possible it is to modify an ISO file to run a hacked version of a game. the end result is to run Brawl+ on dolphin.

I think it will require both an area where you can safely store the codes, and the modification of certain commands to load those codes, but this is ofcoure seen from the perspective of transferring geckoOS codes to an ISO.

if there is anyone that has some knowledge on this area I would gladly hear it.

I don't think you can make any modifications to the games unless it's a modified ASM version of the code. Still that'd be pretty hard.

ok, im new to all this .. but i think i can answer ur question.. firstly.. u cant just use codes unless dolphin supports it.. obviously codes dont just work on their own, they make absolutely no sense whatsoever without a hooked interpreter engine doing all the leg work.. so without that engine installed it wouldnt make sense.. unless.. as our friend said.. u alter the ASM directly.. THIS is what i did.. and if thats what u want to do.. then its actually very easy indeed to get that working..

if u know the ASM hack for a game.. then u simply use trucha (u will need the decryption key) its not given out.. but seems to be freely available on the net if u look.. this program will extract and decrypt the main.dol of the game.. u then load this inside a hex editor.. search for the HEX string that associates with ur asm hack.. change those bytes over.. save the main.dol.. then use trucha to REPLACE the main.dol with the one u have just edited.. then u must SIGN!! the iso again.. with trucha.. this will now load into dolphin with ur altered ASM.
