Newbie wanting help

I managed to softhack my Wii and install the Gamma and Homebrew channels. Then I lost the SD card that I had everything nicely set up on, and I forget most of what's what since that was months ago and I was just stumbling along.

So now I want to use the Gecko OS Launcher to run some GameCube games which won't run anymore on my Wii. I'm lost. I have a whole bunch of files all disorganized on the pc.

I downloaded the zip file of the new version and I placed the whole contents onto my new blank SD card. I go to the Homebrew channel and it shows the little 'reading SD card' thing, and then nothing. I think I need to put some other stuff on my SD card so that it will be able to load files?
