New to USB Gecko. Question about the homebrew channel......

I have the homebrew channel with ocarina on my wii for a long time and I just managed to get a USB Gecko.  I want to install the lastest version of the Gecko OS.  Can the two of them co-exist or how would I go about uninstalling the homebrew channel and installing Gecko OS.  Thanks!!!

The homebrew channel launches applications and gecko os is an application like ocarina so they all can co exist and generally need to do so

So do I just put the application on my SD card and then just use homebrew channel to load it up?  Thanks!
