Thank you very much! also I like to say that the One damage to enemies is great but it takes soooo long to kill enemies. Im not a wiz at math but would 1/16 damage make them die faster then 1 damage? because 25% they die a little quicker then i want them to. So if you could do 1/16 or something that would make them live a little longer then the quarter damage. Thanks.

I LOL'd hard when I read your reply about 1 damage.  Even the rocket launcher only does 1 damage.  I knew it was unrealistic but it was kinda fun for 30 seconds...

Here's 1/8 and 1/16.  In addition, I also provide 2x,4x,8x,16x.  If 1/16 still isn't enough, I can make more, but unless I come up with a different way to scale damage each time it will double (1/32, 1/64, etc) and some weapons like the TMP might be reduced to 0 damage.

1/8 Damage [DCX2]
0409FFC0 60000000
0409FFC4 7FDE1E70

1/16 Damage [DCX2]
0409FFC0 60000000

2x Damage [DCX2]
0409FFC0 60000000

4x Damage [DCX2]
0409FFC0 60000000

8x Damage [DCX2]
0409FFC0 60000000

16x Damage [DCX2]

THANK YOU VERY MUCH SIR! The 1/16 is exactly what I wanted and works great, it gives the game a cool challenge and the extra damage codes will be good for speed runs. Thank you very much for making these!

JarrodDro

Ahh I noticed for som reason the boxes take like 18 slices to knife and sumtimes a while to shoot to get open why is that is it because of the code?

dcx2

Now that you mention it, I vaguely remember noticing that boxes have HP.  I figured it was 1 HP but it might not be...I'll look into it and see if I can make another code that gives boxes 1 HP or something.

It sounds about right, though.  If you are doing 1/16 of the damage, you would need to hit it 16 times to get the same effect.  If you want to know for sure right away, try the 1/8 or 1/4 code and see how hard it is to open boxes.

A code for boxes barrels and crates with 1 Hp would be perfect if it can be done that would be great and it wouldnt be a pain on a new run to knife boxes 18 times lol. I thought boxes were 1 hp at default you would think.

dcx2

It turns out that boxes/barrels have 1000 HP - more than many monsters!  But the game can tell when you hit a box and even a knife attack does 1000 in that case.  So I traced through and I think I made a branch of code that only gets executed when we hurt enemies.  I haven't had a chance to test with a big boss monster like Salazar, but I know it worked on small boss monsters like the chainsaw guy.

As a bonus, I've made the code more flexible by using divide/multiply instructions, so we can use any number now instead of 2/4/8/16.

Damage Divider [DCX2]
C209FF98 00000002
83C10024 380000xx
7FDE03D6 00000000

Damage Multiplier [DCX2]
C209FF98 00000002
83C10024 1FDE00xx
60000000 00000000

xx = the hex value you want to divide or multiply by (xx=03 if you want 3, xx=0A if you want 10, xx=10 if you want 16, etc)

I'd just like a code that allows to play as HUNK, Wesker, Ada or Krauser in the main game. I should think it to be possible, but then again if I understood a zilch of coding I'd try it myself.

Grandy

No one? Not even an "I agree", "that'd be cool" or "sorry but it can't be done"?

dcx2

Some people had tried to make a character change code, but it's very unstable.  I think it crashes whenever you open the inventory, map, and probably a lot of other situations.  I believe the last hypothesis was that the game is missing models for the other characters holding weapons that they can't ever get (i.e. Hunk with anything other than a TMP, etc).

They posted their code in the testing area but I think you need a USB Gecko so that you can turn the code on after the game loads.  It might be possible to stabilize the code, but it will probably be very, very tricky.

So, yeah, that'd be cool, it's possible, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Grandy

Well, I have Gecko OS, but not USB Geck OS. Guess I can't test it then.

I wonder why Capcom just didn't put that option in the game to begin with? I mean, I'd take that option over the mercenary minigame, even if it had no cutscenes nor anything. I'd be like Devil May Cry 3.

yalborap

I have two requests.

Would a code to allow all guns to be purchased at the merchant, including those not normally available in the mode in question(including Krauser's bow from Mercenaries Mode?) be possible? If not, at least a code to insert them into the inventory?

Similarly, would a code to play as the various Mercenaries characters in the main story be at all possible?

Thanks.

Codyk has already made the last code you asked for http://wiird.l0nk.org/forum/index.php/topic,4724.0.html

It has issues though, the most stable character is either krauser or wesker IDR which
If there's any code at all that you want to be button activated, or even able to toggle on & off, and I have the game, just PM me and I'll make it happen

I have some requests. Can anyone make a code that lets you walk through enemies or enemies can't touch you, use chainsaw, etc. I have tried making the code but I honestly don't know if its possible. a.k.a. Invincibility.

I don't know how different the Cube & Wii versions are, but the Cube version had a code like that. Someone (don't remember who) made it for the Action Replay. Basically it turned off the hit detection and was pretty cool. None of the charcters could get hurt from anything, Ashley couldn't be grabbed, and it bypassed the QTEs. I think I still have the code somewhere if that can help.

dcx2

I found some kinda hit detection code, but I couldn't get it to affect only Ashley.  Hook me up with the AR code...it might help.
