hi all,

im tried the search feature, but couldnt find anything that i thought wouldhelp me.

i recently bought a usb gecko from a traveling salesman at a local pc expo. = cheap, but bugger all support:-(

anyhow, he gave me a dvdrom with the iso file to install gecko OS and the windows drivers.

ive installed the windows drivers ok, however when i run the dvd that ive burnt via nero 9 using the *.iso file, the wii says "loading..." then reboots back to the start main menu of wii. Ive also tried the iso from gecko site i think, and i get the same response.

ive then attempted to load the gecko os onto a sd card, ive tried the ciosinstall, wiirip and gecko os 1.06d. all of them show me diclaimer type instructions when selected. i then select run, then i briefely see the fuel gauge on screen, but as soon as the guage appears, it disappears and says "this is not a valid wii application" for all of the apps tried.

now the only thing i can think of is that i have formatted the sd as Fat32, and perhaps i need it formatted to fat16??

many thanks in advance,
Dam0

the latest HBC will only load "valid .elf files" and .dol's, you can use this .dol version of GeckoOS.

HBC stands for homebrew channel
Wow if you don't know that you'll never figure out how to install homebrew XD
I suggest you do a google search for wiibrew (not trying to be mean or anything, I just think that if you read all that it'd make everything a lot less confusing :) )
If you have any requests for AC:WW/AC:CF codes, send me a message. :D
