The code lists have been re-uploaded, some more details at the bottom of the post along with the links.

Attention! It is highly recommended that you back up your game save before using any codes.

According to SMK, the following codes have been confirmed to cause problems

Quote from: SMK
1) Music Modifiers (the My Music one and the one that you can only play one song while you're playing. This is mostly if you mess the code up).
2) Stage Modifier (WiFi and offline)
3) Character Modifier (FOR SURE now)
4) Stage Builder codes (Unlimited Parts and Overlapping, I think the version 2 codes might reduce the possibility though so, I don't think these are a worry anymore, probably 20% chance of it happening now. Just don't go overboard with the unlimited parts code)
-----

Due to the popularity of the SSBB USA thread, it was decided that it was probably a better idea to have two threads to separate all the clutter.

This thread is solely for the discussion of codes and hacking Brawl RSBE01 USA.

By Suggestion of Hetoan, when posting codes please place the author of the code in Bold and/or Italicized font. These people should be recognized for their work.

If you have a question about a code or a code isn't working for you, please go here:
http://wiird.l0nk.org/forum/index.php/topic,3110.msg31916.html

I will keep this post and the post in the support thread as up to date as possible.

At the bottom of the post are links to the latest codelist I've assembled as of 6:15PM, October 30, 2008 with a code or two added as of 6:03PM, April 16.

Along with that codelist, I've linked a Music Fixer list. This list contains specially designed codes meant to restore the default music to a level (In case they have been glitched or you changed them and want them back)

Finally, there is a Moveswap code list, a super list with just Super codes (Updated slightly as of 6:03PM April 16th) and a list of code's for Brawl's Masterpieces

Below is a code for permanently modifying the music that plays on a stage.
---------------

I am including this code by Phantom Wings in the post rather than the codelist as I feel it is a little advanced for the average user. As well I'd like a good warning that it is permanent.

PERMANENT

This code will allow you to replace music in the "My Music"
menu thus making it act as if the music was originally part
of the stage.

!WARNING!:
Changes made with this code are saved to memory so
changes are permanent until changed back

Music Modifier [Phantom Wings]
4A000000 9017EBCC
1400XXXX 0000YYYY
E0000000 80008000

XXXX = Stage Offset + (Song # - 1) * 8
YYYY = Song to Replace with

So, if you wanted to change the eleventh song
on the Halberd to another song, then you
would just make:

  Stage offset for the Halberd
   \
XXXX = 268 + (B - 1) * 8
         ^B = 11 in Hex

XXXX = 268 + A * 8
XXXX = 268 + 50
XXXX = 318

So your code would be:

4A000000 9017EBCC
14000318 0000YYYY<-- Insert New song here.
E0000000 80008000

Version 2 of the stage editor codes come with "100% less freezing"...that's what pizzaboy said,lol.

Brawls' GCN Button Activators And Wiimote
Button ActivatorsFrom Full Metal Kirby:

Stick this in front of the code you want to button activate:
284DE4B0 0000XXXX
Note: This code only works with First GCN Controller plugged in.
The Code Below Needs the other controller values
(found at the bottom of this post) to replace YYYYYYYY

YYYYYYYY 0000XXXX
Note that for the code above no current Classic controller button
codes for yet so just be happy that we finally have wiimote/nunchuck
and now thanks to Full Metal Kirby Wavebird support :D
Complete One-Button Gamecube Controller List
(Note: Only works when you're holding only that button(s)):

Example 1: A+B Activator | 0180 + 0280 = 0380
Example 2: X+Y Activator | 0480 + 0880 = 0C80
Example 3: L+R Activator | 00A0 + 00C0 = 00E0
Example 4: L+A Activator | 00C0 + 0180 = 01C0

Thought I'd point out you might want to add:
Reverse Level Speed (Note: Might have undesired effects for certain levels, such as Big Blue and Castle Seige, which goes backwards/upwards infinitely causing the game to lag and/or freeze; Neat effects for stuff like Mushroomy Kingdom and etc, though.):

Floating Point Table From Hetoan2:

I recommend not using above 64.0 for size since its about the size of new pork city 0.o
Keep Gravity and Size mods at the same Floating point for optimized results.
Regular Sized Metal Characters have approx. x5 gravity so their floating point is 5. For Regular sized characters i would keep the gravity no higher than a Floating point of 10.
0.05 = 3D4CCCCD
0.25 = 3E800000
0.5 = 3F000000
1.0 = 3F800000
1.5 = 3FC00000
2.0 = 40000000
2.5 = 40200000
3.0 = 40400000
3.5 = 40600000
4.0 = 40800000
5.0 = 40A00000
6.0 = 40C00000
8.0 = 41000000
10.0 = 41200000
16.0 = 41800000
20.0 = 41A00000
32.0 = 42000000
64.0 = 42800000
100.0 = 42C80000

http://babbage.cs.qc.edu/IEEE-754/Decimal.html

 the link takes you to a Floating Point converter. Just insert the value and click rounded to get the hexadecimal code to replace XXXXXXXX with. I'd stick with my values tho because too big and too small can crash the game.

Thanks for the table Hetoan, any recommendation for a Gravity limit?

Quote from: Phantom Wings;113347Hello everyone, I'm back. I've been away for a while and I've also been trying to fix a bug on my gamesave for brawl. Anyways, the bug caused the levels Luigi's Mansion and Mushroomy Kingdom to freeze whenever they were loaded. So, After tearing apart my entire save trying to find the reason, I finally found out that it was the music that was causing the problem(I believe that Masterlinkx has the same problem). While I was fixing it, I ended up creating a code that allows you to permanently change the music for each stage...

YYYY = Song to Replace with

Be sure to see the http://board.gscentral.org/attachment.php?attachmentid=54&d=1217977667 for more information

So, if you wanted to change the eleventh song
on the Halberd to another song, then you
would just make:

   Stage offset for the Halberd
\
XXXX = 268 + (B - 1) * 8
     ^B = 11 in Hex

XXXX = 268 + A * 8
XXXX = 268 + 50
XXXX = 318

So your code would be:

4A000000 9017EBCC
14000318 0000YYYY<-- Insert New song here.
E0000000 80008000

This code will allow you to replace music in the "My Music" menu thus making it act as if the music was originally part of the stage.

!WARNING!:
Changes made with this code are saved to memory so changes are permanent until changed back

Here's a couple more things that I've been wanting to post here as well.

Texture Swap:
48000000 XXXXXXXX
DE000000 80009380
50010000 0000014C
48000000 YYYYYYYY
DE000000 80009380
54010000 0000014C
E0000000 80008000

XXXXXXXX = Character Texture used
YYYYYYYY = Character whose texture is replaced

This code will replace one character's texture with that of another, it works
much like my equipment modifier code in that it uses Character
addresses instead of Player addresses.

I should probably point out that
some texture swaps don't work quite as well as this one.

Any chance you have a list of character addresses from him? (Or is that an Assist Trophy texture swap?)

Stage Modifier Now with NO Freezing :D by mariomaniac33

Here's a stage modifier code I made that doesn't freeze
 after the match is finished:

284DE4B0 00000188
4A000000 90180F08
10000033 000000SS
10000034 000000TT
E0000000 80008000
284DE4B0 00000181

4A000000 90180F08
10000033 000000WW
10000034 000000XX
E0000000 80008000

10000034 000000ZZ
E0000000 80008000
Hold button combination of your choice while loading a stage.
Do not activate a stage in mid battle!!!
D-Pad Up + A Activates Stage 1
SS= Stage 1 ID
TT= Stage 1 Sub ID
D-Pad Left + A Activates Stage 2
UU= Stage 2 ID
VV= Stage 2 Sub ID
D-Pad Right + A Activates Stage 3
WW= Stage 3 ID
XX= Stage 3 Sub ID
D-Pad Down + A Activates Stage 4
YY= Stage 4 ID
ZZ= Stage 4 Sub ID

Hold the button combination of the level you want when
choosing and loading a level. If you activate one of the codes
 in mid battle, the game will freeze, so avoid doing so.
Also, note when using this code that the stage selection screen
should be thought of as a music selection screen,
considering that the stage you choose will determine what song will play.

Obviously, this code is intended for Ocarina users, since WiiRD
users can already activate and deactivate a code whenever they want.
