First : congratulations for your work on Gecko OS, it's very impressive ! :clap

I've got a Wii PAL (without modechip) and the game :
No more Heroes in NTSC - US
I load Gecko OS with Homebrew channel.

The problem is that I wanted to use my RGB cable or the s-vidoeo cable.
But the two doesn't work, I don't know if someone is in the same case.

- with RGB cable : game is in red (I think it's from the format NTSC)
- with s-video cable : game is very very brightness and unplayable !
(I put the s-video cable after booting Gecko OS because Wii PAL doesn't support it before.)

So, I don't know if the force mode PAL 60 Htz work for this game, I tried all the version (0.6, cf...) and nothing better.

If you can help me it will be very nice !

Try the color fix version of Gecko OS.
I doubt the S-Video cable would work on a PAL Wii.. RGB cables unfortunately do not work at all for NTSC video output.. the color fix version will stay in PAL mode and thus RGB cables would work.

Composite cables should also work IF YOU'RE TV SUPPORTS NTSC!
The best solution is 480p (component).. no video problems at all!

Thanks for the response, I will try one more time with color fix version and I will tell you the result.
My Tv is not an HD TV so component will doesn't work (isn't true ?)
Composite works well  (my TV supports NTSC) but the quality is very uggly !! (I want to see beautiful blood in NMH )

PS : the s-video cable works (I put it when the game launched) but it's very strange, the brightness is very high ! Don't know if someone had the same thing...

So when use the 0.6 cf version and I force PAL 60 hz or PAL 50 hz the game does'nt boot and I have an integral green screen ...

I've tested with another game Nights (japanese version) and the game passed in 60 hz with my RGB cable and beautiful colors !!! (yes)

So it seems that there is only the game No more Heroes US on a Wii pal which can't be boot with the rgb cable. :cry

I don't know if Nuke has an idea of the problem and could repare it for next version. If you ear me I can let you more description of the problem.

Nuke

Its an old problem and known about for a long time. Datel Freeloader also has the same issue with RGB
0xFFFFFFuuuuuuu

Okay, so the only thing to do is to buy a YUV cable and the TV which accept it ! :cry
It should be good if something happen with this RGB problem !
A topic with problem with RGB cable should be a good thing.

Thanks for the information

Svideo cables do work on a PAL Wii, but they don't work at boot time! I bought an Svideo cable just for Brawl and luckily it has a composite connection alongside an Svideo connection. Bascially you just have to switch to Svideo when the NTSC game/homebrew starts and it works. It would be nice to not have to do all this cable swapping though...
And I don't know why you are getting excess brightness, strange...
