"Connect USB Gecko to become invincible"
LOL, thats really funny, cause it actually DOES make you invincible. Just copy paste codes XD. But to make codes is hard. i just got mine yesterday and I have been searching the net for tutorials. You don't need a USB Gecko to copy/paste codes. The whole point of a USB Gecko is to make codes. If you have an unhacked game and want to be invincible, then it is much harder than just connecting a USB Gecko to become invincible. Hence Link's comment to that effect.

While you can copypasta codes.. as biolizard89 said: It's not the USB Gecko's intention.. it is there to make them.. or to be used for software development..
Still my quote was mostly intended to say: for an unhacked game.. do not expect to just insert the USB gecko and become invincible.. sure, for many games it is easy.. for some others.. invincibility cheats are dead hard!

Hello, I just received my usb gecko today. Wiird is an amazing tools and I really want to thanks all the people who did that amazing job.
I tried to find a post who really give some technical tips on how to create code. Maybe I didn't look enought. I click on the thread how do i create code , thinking that i would have some answers.
He tooks me 10 minutes to find adresses : Ghost Squad (EU) RGSP8P , score mission 1 is located at : 805180D0 whatever the value you put the max value will be : 05F5E0FF if you score one more.
Ghost Squad (EU) RGSP8P , rapid fire ammo located at : 925D8D84. Seems that the value are 32bits encoded so having 4294967296 bullets instead of 100 is not that bad.
But i think that i need some basic powerpc asm knowledge in order to prevent the value to be decremented instead.
I am using usb loader gx, and created a txt code, using usb loader gx made a gct, launched with ocarina got a black screen, curently i only got an eee 701 wich is good for wiird , but not really to surf so maybe i have missed something.
Your point is valid but with a link for newbie would be better, once i got the first trainer working i will be happy to post an how to.
You suggest to start with PC and that's what I don't really get : why is Wii not a good platform to start to do trainer ? I still don't have something working, it's late will probably try to continue tomorow after work, but with ocarina embeded in loaders and launchers it seems for me that it's the opposite , Wii is a good platform to start , i probably missed something ?

important facts are... - how much experience do you have with codes/programming? - how hard are you going to work to improve your hacking skills? The beginning is the hardest part. Once you reached a decent level, you´ll be able to create most codes you´d like to do. (took about ~ 1 -1,5 years for me without pre-knowledges except for putting values into codes) I was probably slow, though... --- BTW.
100th reply and 1000. post

Well, I got the Gecko icon to appear on the homebrew channel and tried to use it once but it didn't work, so I stopped for the day. The next day, my brother, being himself, deleted the Gecko app and now I can't get it back. I tried loading the file onto a different SD card and a USB, but it didn't work. What do I do?

You're not really giving much info to go on... what does the directory structure on your SD card look like? Can your HBC see other apps?

And make sure you always use the same usb port for your USB Gecko, or you have to install the drivers again, "because it's another device".
