Hi, I'm Poiuy, I'm completely new to Wii hacking. I saw this video online about Brawl moveset switching, and found the codes here. How do you add them? Do I need Homebrew channel? Powersave? I'm not very good with hacking so far.

Could someone show me a step by step instructions?

you DEFINITELY need the homebrew channel  :P and gecko OS i just didnt check what version your game and console is, but if you didnt mention it, you should tell us so whe know how to help you more ;)

oh yeah, and welcome, hope you have alot of fun in this site and i hope you will have fun with the homebrew channel... by the way, you DIDNT update your wii didnt you? just to make shure :)

Poiuy

Yeah, that's what I thought. You need Twilight Princess for that? And what's Gecko OS?

Oh sorry, they're both US (If that's what you mean).

What do you mean? I might of updated once before, but it was a while ago.

You need 3 items to get the homebrew channel.

- A Wii(obviously)
- Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
- 1 SD Card(and a way to put/take files on/off of it)

When he asked for the version of your game and console he meant that first you have to go to your Wii Settings Menu and at the top it should say Ver X.XX.

To check the version of your disc look at the under side of it towards the center. You should see a small code there that should be something like: RVL-RDZE-0A-0 JPN. Doesn't have to be exact, but you should be able to see something like that there.

GeckoOS is the homebrew application that allows you to use cheats via your SD card. Do not get it confused with the product USBGecko which allows you to make codes yourself and do various other things.

Poiuy

Heh... I'll have to find a cheap Zelda TP....

Wow, see how unknowledgable I am? My game's version is RVL-RSBE-0B-2 USA. My Wii's version is Ver. 3.3U.

Btw, thanks for helping, and not laughing. Haha.

yeah, you need the twilight hack, here you can get the instructions to get homebrew, it helped me out, so i hope it does the same for you ^_^ http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=HbpQko7M80U
and about the update, as you can read from http://wiird.l0nk.org/forum/index.php?topic=1860.0 nintendo is trying to stop people of getting the homebrew channel, so they keep trying to block the twilight hack by making updates for the wii, so as long as we dont know what wii version you have, it will be kinda harder to help you out, if you have version 3.4 and 3.3 (i think) than you are kinda in the danger zone, sorry, i'm just a member of this site who has the homebrew channel so i might made some mistakes here, but i'm happy to help you out, if you have more questions or if you didnt understood something, feel free to ask ^_^

Poiuy

So yeah, info in my last post? Since I have 3.3, does that mean I can't get it? D:

Atleast I don't have 3.4....

nah, i'm pretty shure they already made a new twilight hack, you just need to look it up, its just that version 3.3 unables you to reboot, i'm not shure if they made a new version of it yet

EDIT: but let me give you THIS tip, dont even THINK to update your wii, remember that

Poiuy

Also, if I just bought a used $15.00 Zelda TP, do you think it would still work? I'm not spending $40 on a game I've already beaten on GC, just to do this. Lol.

That's awesome, it scared me for a sec.

it can be a used or a new one, as long as you have the game, you only need it to get the homebrew channel (i think) so you can like, rent it only or borrow it from a friend or something

Poiuy

You only need the game once? Would I need it again to update it? Or troubleshoot it?

the homebrew channel can give you notices to update, you dont need the game, but you can keep the game if you want to mess with codes in that game, like having fun with the super clawshot or the super spinner etc

Poiuy

Oh, ok, but I don't think I will.

So, I'll rent the game, and I'll get Homebrew, and then you can help me with the Brawl codes. :) Thanks. HPH. =D
