Animal Crossing: City Folk [RUUE01]

On my backup of Animal Crossing: City Folk, I was trying to connect to wi-fi today, but it wasnt working .
It came up with a message.
Is this because that this is a backup, or because I'm using cheats or because I'm playing a NTSC game on a PAL wii?
Please answer quick! I wanna play wi-fi quick! Thanks!

If your backup didn't update your Wii, you need to install IOS38. It's an update that came with AC:CF that not only allows the use of Wii Speak but, also basically says you cannot go onto WiFi until you have this update installed.

If you didn't update to 3.4 or the Oct. 23rd update, you need to use Gecko OS's rebooter function with the nocopy flag turned on. When you've rebooted the Wii with the rebooter, just copy the save file to the SD Card like you would any other game and BAM! it's on your SD Card. This would be a way to have more than one town if you so chose to (have one save on the Wii, have the other on the SD Card, swap'em out a certain way by putting the one on the SD on the computer and etc.) You could, in a sense, have four different towns if you have more than one SD Card.

Any way to downgrade the menu? I had to upgrade with Animal Crossing, and didn't start to homebrew until yesterday, so I got the update on the 23rd too.

There IS but, it is NOT recommended if you don't know what you're doing (and, don't ask me for help as I haven't used it before myself either).

I didnt have to update when I first booted this game, i think the update was taken out.
Actually, I figured what was wrong and I dont think it was that...
I remember someone saying about the save being affected cheats, so I booted the game with no cheats, then I saved, then I could go on wi-fi!
Does anyone know what the update does?
If it installs 3.4, I'm not updating, because apparently it can make you autoupdate on 3.4, and I dont want that.

Is there a button activator or something like that you need to activate it?
This would be really useful if its real. You would onlt need inf bells, then you would only need to go to the catalog and buy everything you need, instead of having to take the SD out, taking to the PC, changing some codes and so on and so on.

I just thought, that was a code I was booting...
Perhaps it wasnt to do with the save at all, only this code.
