when i try that my file gets 'corrupted'

The freeze when you open your pocket is probably because you have an invalid item, so the slot x has item x will work, just use this:

if you save without opening your pockets after setting it to an invalid item it will corrupt your save (without codes) although it can be fixed by what Romaap said.

One question that I'm curious about (although, already know it's very unlikely).

Is it possible to increase the amount of notes you have for your Town Tune so you could in theory have an entire song play? Or at least, the first few more seconds of the tune than they allow? It's pretty limited in this aspect.

No you can't. The file for that is a certain size, and unless the creators decided to put in some extra space and cut it out for funzies then you could possibly. but it doesn't.

all codes will worked if activated anywhere. you just wont see the effects until you open your inventory.

I suggest you use the shorter version, as it wont give you crapapples

What about brkirch's cycle through pockets code?

I'm pretty sure the developers weren't planning on giving you room in your pockets for 1500 items, but it still works.
