Multimedia-Cube with USB Gecko?

Gentlemen,

I'm new to this forum and after I read through the pages, I found something about playing .MP3 oder .MOD on the Cube, but nothing about any kind of video formats. Is it planned (or even possible) to play videoclips (.MPG oder .AVI) with the Gecko? I'd like to use my beloved cube as a kind of media center.
