Japanese Password Hex Characters

The game "Inazuma Eleven Strikers 2012 Xtreme" (japanese) has passwords to unlock secret stuff in the game which haven´t been released on the European version, yet. I´ve got RAM Dumps of both. Is there a way to figure out the passwords? I´ve tried converting the japanese texts using the geckocodes converter and searching the hex strings in the japanese dumps, but no results. Searching the letters directly makes the hexeditor to complain about wrong characters.

Translating them to english or whatever obviously won´t be good. :P

Another attempt would be to make an "all secret stuff" unlocker code for the japanese version and port it over to PAL. If there´s no better solution, I´ll try that. These challenges are fun. :eek:
