[Sega] Shining Force II [MB6J] Japanese

Hi! I wasn't sure if this was the right place to post this, so I'm sorry if this is the wrong place. (I'm new here...)

I noticed there were codes made for Shining Force II -English, but wasn't sure if they would work for the Japanese version. Will they? If not, does anyone have codes that will work for the Japanese version? (Mainly looking for the editing codes, like for getting items and such.)
