Gecko Codes for Virtual Console not working!

dcx2, Thanx a whole lot for all your replies. Here's another one that I really need help on. When I tried to launch a vc (a snes) game thru gecko, it says "codes found - applying". Then when I play the game - the code is not even working. The snes game that I was playing is Super Metroid and the gecko code that I was using has an ID of JAVE. Do I need to something else? Again thanks for any suggestion(s).
