Well, I'm not really sure if my subject line is what any of you are looking for, so I'm sorry in advance.

Anyway, I have Monster Hunter 3 and a Wii, but I was wondering if there is a way to download hacks/codes to my usb flashdrive to use with Monster Hunter 3 on my Wii. I've seen usb ports on it and figured that I would come ask the pros about this kind of thing. (in example: a code that will require me to already have or to obtain one deviljho talon to have 99 of them instead of just the one) I'm very new to the Wii as well. The last system that I've owned/played was my Ps2. I use to use a Gameshark2 to use the infinite/max items slots codes on my Ps2. I used the infinite/max item slots codes to keep from having to farm non stop and to only require me to have one of each which the codes turned it in to 99 and infinite of the item too. Soon as I carved one Rathalos plate on MH1 it went maxed out to 99 Rathalos plates.

I am clueless about doing so on my Wii. If anyone knows where I can download the infinite/max items slots codes from the internet to my flash drive, please post here.

Also, if no such codes or no such way exists, what do I need in order to use these codes. What hacking device do I need? Can I buy it at stores like Gamestop? If not, where all can I get one?

I'm sorry for the newb questions, but I have no idea where to start.....

To run cheats on Wii games, you will need the following...

All the software that I have listed on this post is free software.  For GeckoOS, cheats are generally loaded from a .gct file that is in a 'codes' folder, which would be located on the root of your SD card.  I don't know if GeckoOS supports loading cheats from a USB device or not.

GeckoOS would be loaded from one of the five programs at the beginning of that list.  I personally use the Homebrew Channel, but I don't know how you feel about installing unofficial things onto your Wii console.  I'm not sure if GeckoOS works properly through Bannerbomb, so if you didn't want to install anything, you would possibly need to use the Smash Stack, Indiana Pwns, or Twilight Hack.  If you are on an unmodified 4.0 System Menu or newer, the Twilight Hack would not be an option for you.  Those three loading methods will require that you have a game.  Bannerbomb and the Homebrew Channel will not.

I have never heard of the Homebrew Channel causing problems with anyone, so I would recommend that option, as it is probably the most convenient.  However, keep in mind that Nintendo has been known to try and stop it, and even deleted older versions of it with the 4.2 update.

You can get codes for games at the following site...

http://www.geckocodes.org

That site may have the codes that you are looking for.

To create a GCT file for GeckoOS, you would need to use something like the Code Manager.

Thank you so much for replying and all of the information. You rock. Take care and blessed be.

111 was describing ways to launch Gecko OS, not exploits.  You can use exploits to launch Gecko OS, but most people use the exploits to install HBC so they can easily run arbitrary unsigned code without exploiting the system at each boot.
