Hi

I life in germany but i have a ntsc/u-wii and i am running my pal-copies with gecko-os. but everytime i start those games my tv shows me that the games are running in 576i.

now my question is: is it possible to force 480p as it is set in the wii-settings?

thx for your replies!

ps.: and one other question. will there be a fix for gecho-os to the date/time-issue? i mean that games like wii-fit and brawl can use the actual date and not year 2000.

I can answer the second part the problem is not geckoOS its the homebrew channel.
If you start the geckoOS by the Twilight Hack the time and date is ok.
I can not answer the first part because i do not now sorry..

Thx for that information. hopefully Nuke is working together with the hbc-team to solve this issue.

Screemer

can nobody answer my question?

it would be really great! maybe nuke could tell me if it is a feature he thinks about to ad it to geckoos in the future.

Hm.. if you use a component cable and have 480p enabled, 480p should always be used in preference.. you might try forcing PAL60 maybe it helps (480p is technically PAL60) - otherwise I guess we have a request for Nuke here!

Nuke

the date issue has now been fixed some code had to be set in GeckoOS. it was not really HBC fault, its just commercial games set the time and date, but when GeckoOS is run like all Homebrew programs the date resets, it will be in the next GeckoOS release which i'm working on currently.

As for the resolution issue, try the color fixed version on the site and use for Force options in the config menu.

thats great.

but i still have the problem with the 480p-mode and pal-games. there are 3 force-options (force PAL60, NTSC, PAL50) and VidTV Patch. which option do a have to use.

€dit: i found it out. i always tried to force pal50 or 60. now i tried ntsc and it works. at leased for rayman raving rabbits 2. i didn't had the chance to try something else.
