I got a NSMBW backup to start in Neogamma R7. I'm using CIOS249 R14. The problem is the codes aren't being applied. I'm using the channel version, should I use an app instead? The settings I'm using are hook type Wii Pad and SD (cios). With these settings the game starts but the codes aren't active. I tried the VI (buggy) hook type but that gives me a black screen after the brief green screen when starting the game. Although several others have had success with VI, I'm not. Can someone help me out? I've been working on this for days on end trying different versions and settings without luck.

By the way, NSMBW cheats do work with NeoGamma R7.

Hmm, we could tag team this problem. I believe I've tried that one. With the ones I've tried either they didn't apply the codes or didn't boot the game at all. Check out this thread.

Edit: This may require CIOS249 r15/CIOS36/CIOS38? Not sure, but I read the changelogs for the new versions and they could play a role here. I don't have those, should I get them? I skimmed over the Wii Softmodding guide but that tells me install CIOS4, CIOS55, etc. Does anyone know which ones I need for this, if any?

Simply following the guides huh? It's probably a good idea to write down what changes you make.

Edit: It's not compatible with CIOS249 r12, 15, and 16.  :-\ And here's a thread where soulshine got R8 Beta15 to work. I suppose I'll try again with that.

Edit 2: Apparently CIOS249/36/38 are all pretty much the same thing.

Edit 3: YES!! YES!! I finally got it working! ;D I'm using NeoGamma R8 Beta 15. I'm not sure why it wasn't working before actually, might have been a bad code list. ??? I'm using the VI hooktype and SD (default CIOS) mode. The debugger does not need to be on. Got the channel here.

Give it a try and let me know if you have problems. Now on to showcase some awesome NSMBW cheats! :D

I don't know what CIOS it is but i know i have 249. I wish there was just 1 Cios to install and thats it. I don't like having to reinstall all those cios versions. Its been so long since I installed them all i forgot what i have installed.

cIOS's are custom IOS's an IOS is kinda like a mini operating system on the Wii
If there's any code at all that you want to be button activated, or even able to toggle on & off, and I have the game, just PM me and I'll make it happen
