Is there a setting to not pause the game when WiiRD is dumping memory?  I want to be able to search memory but allow the game to keep running.  I do undertsnad that the contents of memory may change while I'm dumping, but an option to not pause would be great.

From a technical viewpoint the game is not paused! The Wii has a loop of data and the code handler is included into that loop.. non-threaded.. once the code handler is in dump mode it is sending stuff over to the PC and the code handler part is simply taking its time to finsih its own dumping task!

Thanks for the clarification.  So, there isn't a way to allow game play to continue while a dump is being performed?

One thing else i want to point out that if it is not froze, the state of variables and locations can change in the time your doing an operation, so maybe would get strange results sometime.

Doing threaded code would most 100% likely cause all games to crash or had bad side effects also, as you just never know what the game is actually executing.

Got it.  Just that some online games disconnect due to the "inactivity" during the dump.

We do not support selfish acts that ruin games for others.

I guess he was more on, selfish acts to remove the online fun.. there is basically no other known use to me of NOT pausing while dumping other than in online games. And seeing we do not allow online codes that reasoning is basically on very thin ice!
