Any version of Gecko OS not booting games "Cannot read Disc" error

Hi, I am hoping someone can help me. I have been using geckos for a while now with no problem. I am using 1.9.1 regularly until recently now all I get is "Cannot read disc error" on every game. Iam on 4.0E nothing plugged into USB. Tried running geckos on a newly formatted card by iyself still nothing. I have cios38rev10 installed if that helps but it funnily coincides with my wii not picking up inserted discs in the main disc channel too. I have noticed the disc channel does load up older games fine. Even if  i reboot with hooks i cant get anything to come up in the disc channel or i do get is a "you need to update before you can run this game" error
I'm lost as to what has caused this the only thing i've done is installed rev10 over rev13b as it's more compatible. Any help guys?

Are the not working games, (patched!) backup discs? And Gecko OS does not use a cIOS, it's stated very clear that Gecko OS has nothing to do with it. After the update to 4.0, could you play any of the now not working games?
