Hey, I made this topic to help those of you that don't already know how to get your VC Codelists working with Gecko OS. It's pretty simple, the main problem is the Game ID. You can't save it with the Code Manager.

It doesn't have to be six digits just make a .txt file with all the codes in it the game ID should be:
XXXP = European [PAL] Game
XXXE = U.S. [NTSC-U] Game
XXXJ = Japanese [NTSC-J] Game

save the .txt file to your desktop then right click it, now click "Rename" change the file extension from .txt to .gct.

After doing this save the file to your SD/Codes folder and open Gecko OS load the channel it should detect a code list and apply your codes  ;D Have Fun  ;D

I renamed the file extension but it stays a text file?

Also, is there supposed to be a database file with the VC games I want to cheat on in the root of the SD card?

Choose Show All files *.* before you save it...
or enter the gameid in CodeManager, choose Export and it'll ask you to Save it Manually
browse to your SD drive:/Codes/ and enter the name using the GameId of the game and click Save
