A strange thing in Animal Crossing

Hi there!

I need your help to understand the strange thing which we bumped into.

A friend named Jank told us that he had an English boy as guest in his village.
This boy, before leaving, announced a surprise.
Shortly after, going to the seashore, Jank saw an immense shadow in the water.
This shadow was gray (not catchable fish) and similar to the plesiosaur, which is in the museum .

And here are the questions:

-   Could it be the same whale of the gamecube version?
-   Can you force the appearance of this shadow?
-   Or…is there a trick to put the shadow in the water?

I'm fairly certain that this is an edited image. Seeing as there is no "whale" fish in the ISO, or when you view the ASCII in the memory-dumps...

The GCN animal crossing whale wasn't even possible to catch. It was just a shadow, and there wasn't a fish to go along with it. It caused a crash if "caught" by walking on water.
