Google is not my friend, nor have any other searches been, as I am not hacking Brawl.

generally, the app riivolution can do file replacements on any game.
You just need the right XML file for that game. Some finshed XML´s can be directly downloaded.

Gecko OS can't patch files.  It can only patch memory.  Brawl was a special exception because of the file patch code.

It's possible to do file swaps, though, by making a code which over-writes the pointer to one file with a pointer to another.

But if you want to replace files with entirely new files, you need Riivolution.  It can redirect file access to the SD, USB, or Wifi.  It takes some getting used to; I never liked XML files.  But once you understand how it works, it's pretty easy to replace your own custom files.  I especially liked the redirect-over-wifi, because it allowed me to make custom textures and load them without restarting the game.
