So I have two wii's. One for hacking one for playing. I just started playing brawl on the newer wii but the save file from the older wii can't be moved. I looked this up and found that SSBB file saves can't be moved. So I extracted the save file via a homebrew app. Converted it to a bin file but the new wii will not import it. Is there any way to transfer the save without modding my playing wii?

You can't copy any games that can utilize Wi-Fi.

Extract the save using Savegame Extractor, then use Savegame Installer to add it to your unmodded Wii.

Use Smash Stack/Bannerbomb/anything else that can boot homebrew without permanent modification.

How do I do that? I only know how to use them to install homebrew.

Can't you use the Gecko OS rebooter to disable the Copy Protection flag?

Yes, the Rebooter feature on GeckoOS/Gecko 1.9.3.1 should allow you to use the Data Management to copy the Super Smash Brothers Brawl save to your SD card.  I assume that you should then be able to copy that save file to another Wii, but I don't know if you can or not.  If you can't, then you may need to use homebrew tools to get it onto the other Wii.

If you can't get the Rebooter feature to work, try the "Patching IOS36" instructions that are included in this thread...

Dude

You should find that any version of GeckOS after 1.07b permanently removes the No-Copy flag from the save upon copying.
That should enable you to copy the save to your new wii without having to modify it.

You should note that COD:MWR (and, presumably, COD:BO) performs a checksum on the save and removing the copy-flag makes the game treat it as corrupted.  GeckOS 1.07b doesn't remove the copy-flag, only modify the Wii's memory to allow it.  You DO have to use the Rebooter and patch the copy-flag if you want to copy this save, though.

Savegame Extractor/Savegame Installer using a method that boots it without installing any homebrew would be another method, as said earlier.
you just have to make sure you've played the game atleast once, but you've probably done that already :p

I found out how to get it. I used smash stack to load up the app. Then did the rest from there. It will not void the warrienty right. I didn't really mod it.
