Gecko not working with sonic 4 episode 1

it just keeps saying "error loading channel" i have tried with and without cheat codes enabled, i have tested my other wiware games and they boot fine so it is not a IOS problem, i am on 3.2E so it's not my firmware, it is the game and i really wish someone has a answer as to why it is not working with 1.9.3.1 there must be a setting in gecko that makes the game boot fine but i don't know where to start, please help!

Have you tried changing hooks?

i tried the wiimote pad but that didn't do anything, i might try other hooks and see what happens.

nope, i tried with all hook types, no change.
