Hi there,

I was wondering if there is any way to "force" the Disc Channel in being Region Free, so that I don't have to launch Gecko every time I want to use a NTSC game on my PAL wii.

I ask this because my Disc Channel is alredy region free for GameCube games thanks, I think, to StarFall.

Not a big deal, but it would be nice if it could be done.

Cheers

priiloader has that option and even offers somewhat of a brick protection

Don't be surprised if you get countless errors regaring GC game loading, independent from using the disc channel or a loader.

If you really have StarFall, you should consider uninstalling it correctly(reinstall the correct system menu, not anything else!) and then installing priiloader. Priiloader has more hacks, and a way better brick protection.

But don't expect it to play all import games from disc channel, i think the region free patches force your Wii's region as video mode => half of all games won't work.

As of today, it works fine with pretty much all my GC import Games. Therefore I'll keep it the way it is. If anything should happen, I'll keep in mind your heads-up! Thanks
