After doing some searching about USB Gecko, my main questions still have yet to be anwered. Please try to be patient as i am a complete hacking noob and not very good at coding or things like that. I just have a few questions i would like to be answered.

1. Do i need to softmod my Wii to be able to transfer save data from my Wii to my PC?

2. Can i take save data directly from the Wii's memory even though it will not let me transfer or copy it normally?

3. Once the save data is on my PC can i upload it using an Emulator?

4. After playing on the Emulator, can i put it back on the Wii and have things still work?

5. Does the USB Gecko work for Macs?

Basically, what i want to do is to be able to transfer my save data back and forth between my Wii and Emulator, except that my Wii will not allow me to copy or move some files (such as MH3 or SSBB).

1) That depends.  Unprotected save files can be copied to the SD card and transferred to the computer.  You can also download save files from e.g. gamefaqs and then drop them on your SD card, copy them to the Wii's NAND, and you're good to go.

2) Protected save files require some softmod trickery.  I do believe Gecko OS supports a rebooter option that allows copy-protected saves to be copied out of NAND.  There are also homebrew utilities that do this.

3) The forum rules forbid discussion of piracy, like emulators and USB loaders.

4) The forum rules forbid discussion of piracy, like emulators and USB loaders.

5) The USB Gecko is used by hackers to write codes.  If you want to use the codes we write, you can do so without a PC.  Use Gecko OS and AccioHacks.  If you actually want to write codes, the USB Gecko itself can connect to a Mac, but the apps that hackers use generally target Windows platforms.
