So it took me forever just to get the homebrew browser installed.  So i finally got it today.  So....

I can finally goto the homebrew browser channel and browse homebrew apps, which i have just done.

So i go and download Gecko OS 1.9.2 first, seeing as it is the newer version.  So i go back to the browser menu glick on Gecko/Gecko OS 1.9.1 and the screen just goes black.  Waited about 5 minutes... still nothing.

So i figured screw it let me try again.  This time i downloaded Gecko OS 1.07b.  Go back to the menu once again and try to load it up.  Yet another black screen.  Waited yet again for another 5 minutes... still nothing.

Am i doing something wrong?  It took me like 3 weeks just to get this far just to hit another wall.  All i'm trying to do is play a JPN version of Tatsunoko vs. Capcom that i bought.  Didn't even DL, but bought.  =(

Any help ASAP would be much appreciated.  Thank you in advance. =D

Still nothing.  :'(

Without the SD card the channel browser does not work.  And i can't get to Gecko OS.

Anything else?  I'm dead in the water.  I've googled for what feels like forever and still can't find out how to get it to work.

You probably already know this...

You could directly download geckoos to your PC and then put it in the apps folder in your Wii SD card. Make sure you put the boot.dol or boot.elf of geckoos in the right folder in your Wii SD card.

This way you dont need to use homebrew browser. I know this way takes more steps but in case you really want to use geckoos.

Yup got Gecko OS on my SD card and it's in the Apps folder that's on my SD card.  Still no Gecko channel or when i goto homebrew channel and select it with my SD card in the wii it just goes black and freezes.  =(

I feel like i get a little done every week or so then hit a wall.  Is there any other trouble shooting i should do?  I once again feel like i've tried everything.

Still no help?  This is becoming very frustrating. Every time i think i got it, BAM hit another wall.  Then back to the web to find an answer that does not work.  This is my last resort.  I know you guys probably hate when others come here with questions.

And why can't i select the Gecko on the bottom of the homebrew channel?  Only the globe.

I have removed the SD card, and still goes black and freezes when i select Gecko from my SD card.  Without the SD in the slot i can't do anything.  Homebrew channel is just bubbles with no menu.

Please please please help.  =(  I'm at the point where i'm going to throw it out the window.

Tried multiply tutorials, versions, ways.  All end up with the same result... nothing.  I just wanna play one game =(

So now i tried it with the Region Free one.  And i thought i finally had it.. The actually program pops up.  Says insert Wii Game and press restart.  I do so... says "Launching Game" then i get "Game ID: RF7J08"  and it freezes again.

Am i just doomed and have to fork out the money for a JPN console to put an end to the frustration and throw my american one in the garbage?

Once again, i thought i had it and BOOM slam into a brick wall at 150mph.

Still... no help =(

Ho-oh

I dont know how to fix it, but wiiso(.com) is probably the best place to get help, so i suggest you ask there.

I said memory card (gamecube) not SD card. Though I can see why you misinterpreted me.
