How to cheat on Wii w/o GeckoOS on softmod Wii?

Hi guys, I'm still new to this forum and also new to Wii.

I want to cheat any Wii games but I found it really hard on my circumstances.

I tried GeckoOS before and follow the instructions, but when I want to start my game on GeckoOS, it said "No DVD found". Maybe that's because my Wii is softmod and there is no way that I can change it to hardmod ( the tech person said he can't do it because of my Wii, not sure what he means by that).

So are there any ways for me to cheat besides GeckoOS? Tried Ocarina before, but it said failed to load application.

Most softmods have ocarina built in, check the settings of your softmod and look for an option that says "ocarina" and turn it on.
Then you just put the .gct file in SD:\codes as you would with Gecko.

OK I found it, but when I start the game, it said SD error.

I'm using Neogamma R2, IOS 249 (Rev 13)

Edit: Ok, that's maybe because I'm using SDHC.

I tried SD and USB earlier, it worked and tried the codes on Resident Evil:Darkside Chronicle, but it doesn't seem the codes are working for me. I'm using the code from

Any ideas why?

Tried Tales of Symphonia:Dawn of the new World, but not working either.

All I did was:
1. Download the codes on text file from that website earlier
2. Use codemanager to tick to turn on the codes that I want to use
3. Click store on SD card
4. Insert SD card
5. Turn on Ocarina (choose SD on ocarina option)
6. Then launch the game

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

neogamma r2 is a really old version, i think its up to r8, anyways when in the neogamma settings you also need to make sure to set your hook type otherwise the codes wont work

Indeed it is, I haven't updated it since I can play all games using it. But I will try to update it, need to find Wadmanager first though.

I tried changing hook type into Wiipad, but still the codes won't work. Guess I have to update it

OK, I have updated my Neogamma into R7 IOS249 (Rev 13).

I've tried Tales of Symphonia and it's working, but when I tried Super Robot Wars Neo and Resident Evil Darkside Chronicle, it's not working. Maybe I should play around with combination on Ocarina and Hook type. But I'm not understand the difference between:

Ocarina : Cios, IOS31 and IOS 61
Hook Type: None, Wii pad, GC pad, IV
