plug the wii's videocable in a videorecorder and record it, then put the DVD in your pc and convert it to another filetype.

Make sure you get splitters so you can see on the tv too >_<

I use a Dazzle DVD recorder, since it was the cheapest. You can use other software on it too.

I just use Pinnacle Studio 12 since it's nice and works well. Saves to AVI and pretty much any format. Although the DVD recorder itself will come with nothing. Not hard to find a copy of some software floating around tho...  not that I would do it or anything, but it's always an option.

Check out my site with codes obviously...

I hear everyone talking about those Dazzle recorders, they seem like a really good deal. I should get one, I wanna make some AC:CF videos XD
If you have any requests for AC:WW/AC:CF codes, send me a message. :D

What about for brawl, when i save a video it makes a new file in the wii private folder, idk what to use to convert it to a normal video file type

it records your button inputs not the match so its impossible 2 convert

I am personally thinking about getting a Hauppage WinTV HD PVR, see: http://www.alternate.de/html/product/Videoschnitt/Hauppauge/WinTV_HD_PVR/252520/?tn=HARDWARE&l1=Grafik&l2=Videoschnitt (German text)

Why? Well, I also have an Xbox 360 and well.. it has Component input and is capable of 480p, 720p and even 5.1 - 480p is perfect for Wii, 720p and 5.1 would be awesome for Xbox 360 recordings..

This may be different, but to edit videos, I use Sony Vegas Pro 8.
I was wondering which kind of capture card I should get though.
