Hi guys... I've been having a little success porting codes to different regions of Brawl recently...

But on the "more advanced codes"... I've hit a stumbling block yet again...

I've posted it already on the GSCentral forums... but I think this getting its own thread can be another way to get help from other sources (even though a lot of you are also members there...)

QuoteAs someone has requested on both the PAL threads on this forum and the WiiRD forum...

I've been attempting to port this FIRST to JPN for my own use (LOL)...

- Custom Stages On Wifi Test (US), original by Pizzaboy:
4A000000 81000000
3253CDDC 01010101
305E25C4 00000036
145E25DC FFFFFFFF
E2000001 00000000
305E25DC FFFFFFFF
145E25D8 00000035
E2000002 80008000

However, the port method I've learned seems to be of no avail...

I see that the PO is set to 81000000... so with the memory dumps of both regions... I start at the 153CDDC in the hex editor for the US dump... however, the values I get are all 00s and CCs which I do not find on the JPN dump...

I figure that it's what you guys have been telling me that I have to get dumps corresponding with the time the values have "meaning" and that I should do that...

I load up a custom stage on the US called "Link's Woodtemple" and dump after pausing after the match starts, considering options of having Marth as P1 with no name, and a CPU LVL 1 Mario on player two in a one stock match...

I go to the JPN version and load the exact same custom stage and do the dump...

I find "useless" values in the US version that doesn't lead to any results on the JPN version except for addresses that are severely far from the US one...

Same thing if I dump after I "no contest" and into the character screen... as I do believe that the custom stage loaded is stored into the "blank stage" that the game keeps for it to load there... (that's why you and any of your friend planning on playing on the custom stage have to load it offline first and has to be the exact same stage)

Does anyone have any ideas on how I can go about this?

Try looking at dumps made during Wifi play.

shadowofchaos

Hmm.... you mean just any Wi-fi regular match when the custom stage was loaded offline?

Just examine the important areas during Wifi play. 01010101 sounds like it's referring to a set of booleans (yes/no), just enabling them during online play instead of forcing them to be disabled.
