Karaoke Joy Sound Can't Access internet

So I finally managed to make Japanese Joy Sound work on my American Wii and got rid of that nasty #002 error. However, now that it works I can access everything but the online service. You can buy tickets to access an online database of thousands of karaoke songs. However to buy these tickets you need wii points. I already purchased some wii points and I went into the game to purchase a 24 hour ticket to karaoke. So I get the Japanese message saying that the wii will be connecting to the internet via the Nintendo WIFI and it connects, but when the page actually loads the ticket choices do not show up. Basically I get a page with a bubble down at the bottom saying something like "Please choose a ticket option" and a "Back" button. I cannot press this back button, and nothing pops up on this menu. I can see my cursor and move it around the screen but other than the downward scrolling background and the little popups that I cannot click there is nothing I can do but press the home button and go back to the main menu, reset, or cancel. Does this mean that I need Japanese wii points? Do I need "region free" internet/WIFI? That's silly because the internet is accessible to everyone. Mayhaps I need the actual Japanese Wii Shopping Channel? It would be nice is someone could shine a little light on my situation.

Oh and I'm running this little region free setup via Gecko OS 1.07b using the Homebrew Channel version 3.4. I fixed the #002 problem using the a fix I found at this link.

Apparently wii points are region encoded. I have been enlightenend. But I'm not sure if the fact that I haven't purchased Japanese wii points affects that WIFI ticket buying page that Joy Sound shows. I live in Japan so buying Japanese Wii points would be easy, but can I use them?

Here's a link of what this ticket buying page looks like. The last picture shown on this page is what the ticket buying page should look like. The three white boxes shown in the middle are what is not showing up.
