PSIV Mega Drive Problem (PAL Wii)

Just bought Phantasy Star IV on my pal/uk wii from the Wii Shop Channel. As soon as i start it get this funny problem, its the like the game has massive amounts of scanlines. As soon as you start the game and a character is moving, the graphics/art will go black. But if i press the home button everything looks fine, but press it again and everything goes back to scanline/blackness country.

I'm running my wii at 480p, i have tested it on 50 and 60hz and it happens on all of them.

I'm on 3.4e and i do have the Homebrew Channel installed. So i don't know if it could be that. Pictures below to help you visualise.

So has this happened to anyone and is there anyway to fix it?
