Need help with copying a save file

I used the Save Extractor app to copy my Brawl save and what I'm wondering is if I copy the save file to a different Wii and use that save file to go online with with the old friend code, could the Wii brick? I want to use my old friend code on a different Wii, but I don't want my Wii to brick. Is it safe to copy the save?

From my knowledge, I think it will just erase everything from your Wi-Fi settings. Name, Comment, Avatar, Rankings, that stuff. I did that when getting Jay "FNG"'s save for brawl.  ;)
