I can't get any of these to work on my pal game. It was a scrubber so I wonder if that's why but it shouldn't, should it?

edit: I've had another go and I can't see anything that changes in the game with the cheats on. The circle at the top left is split into three parts, it looks full but the life bar on it which is the left hand side of the circle depletes at the same time as it does without the cheats.

What is Max Sandslots? It still has the three you start with and three empty slots, looks the same as without the cheats.

I'm using Ocarina. What does the life bar supposed to do? I reached the part of the game where you earn a life upgrade and now it's slightly past halfway, it arcs left to right on the top left circle. Is it supposed to be at the far end?

I can also only have 3 sands in my slots.

Would it be possible to convert the cheats from the NTSC version?

I'm about halfway through the game and I loaded it today and I had infinite health and infinite sand but I loaded it up later and it was back to the cheats not working. Although once I tried it and the life bar was full which was the first time I'd seen it like that.

It's weird that it only works when it wants to.
