Gecko OS menu options cannot be selected (is OS frozen?)

I've just got the USB Gecko. I'm following the instructions from guide "Extracting DVD Media to PC using Gecko OS (Gamecube Version)"

At point 3. I can see the Gecko OS screen with four options (Launch Game, Config Menu, About, Exit OS). I cannot select any of these options - I pressed any button in Wii remote control with no results. It is not sensitive (like being frozen). The only option I have is to power off the Wii from its button.

The USB Gecko is connected to Gamecube Memory Card Port B (I've tried with port A - the same bad thing).

Do I miss something ?

hi,

with Gamecube mode, the Wii remote is not available you need the Gamecube Joypad.

To rip a DVD though you can just use GeckoDVD and don't need to select anything.
