I only tried the transformation code and it worked for only the 1st player. If the 2nd player presses - on the wiimote nothing happens. Also the code states that every other time you go through the list, all players have an infinite star effect. This didnt work for me either.

The transformation code doesn't seem to work quite right. It seems to sometimes do two transformations in rapid succession when I press -, making some of the powers unselectable because they get skipped. The star power piece is also inconsistent, but this could be related to the rapid cycling.

I originally made the transformation code for the pal version, if the ntsc port has that problem my only guess would be the code may need to be tweaked for ntsc,
if i get my hands on a ntsc copy of the game i may look into it also you may want to try porting the newer pal version, if it still has the problem then i will need to tweak it for ntsc.
Also when i made the pal version the trans code it required a Special button modifier code, one that only stayed in memory for a mil sec, if that location is not the same in ntsc, or doesn't act the same then that would explain the rapid suit change problem your having.

Now i've tested the code over and over on a Clean ntsc copy, maybe once in 40 suits changes it might skip one but its really rare

yea the invincibility code the only thing keeping me from writing it to all 4 players is when you get yoshi the memory address's sometime change for the last 3 players not everytime but most of the time, its a pain really

Oh, I see.  Apparently it only works with Mario since Yoshi wasn't working when I was using character modifiers.



This is unrelated, but try taking Yoshi with you to the Credits.  He moves in time with the music like the characters do.

When you have Yoshi.  The moon jump stopped working till you let yoshi off.   
need to make it work with yoshi.

There is already a Push B for Star Power code in page 1, you could just remove the button part(s) to make it always Star Power, but I wouldn't recommend it or you could just increase the value to make the Star Power last longer.

But I have a problem..
Whenever I try to run Gecko OS with these codes, it says" SD codes found. Applying."
And then I get a blue screen with the error code #002..

Can somebody please help me? I really want to play NSMBW with these codes.  :confused:

edit: Moon Jump w/ Yoshi works, but Yoshi will still moon jump even if Mario is not riding him. (Not that it's a huge problem, at least Yoshi Monn Jumps XD)

I was wondering if anyone had any problems when playing the tile flip game in the first mushroom house lvl 1, did you have a problem with not being able to exit the level. Mario went right to the top and would not come down. lol Actually on a few side missions and one boss ina castle I couldn't exit the level and had to reboot my wii.

I really have only had problems like that when defeating castles with yoshi and then not being able to exit

As a matter of fact, I did have Yoshi in a castle when I could not defeat. I'll try the exit code from the mushroom hut when I get off the PC. My arse is glued to the chair right now.  ;D

the code shouldn't be activating without hitting the button, anyways just remove the last 3 lines to remove yoshi

Just make sure your not on yoshi and dont have star power enabled as\after you beat a castle main enemy, cause if star power is on yoshi will re-appear on the next screen killing you, this problem is caused just by having yoshi were your not apost to :)

i dont know why but...
im ntsc and the transformation, always have 98 lives mario/w hat, all items 99 and save,all hint movies, and save instead of quicksave codes arent working.

i tried applying each one on its own and they wont work still

im sure its not a wii problem because i use codes often and they work.

help anyone?

its just weird, they're working for everyone cept me ._.

Turn off one code at a time figure out which one is causing the problem but i'm not 100% sure your problem is related to any codes

I've found where the id you can edit to make the code work with other characters, the problem is I need to make it work with p2-4 wiimotes, and I suck with button activators.

Button activators arn't anything complicated really, but if you don't have 4 wiimotes then it will be impossible to find all the controller addresses

Yeah I know they aren't complicated, I just don't really know the values for the wii mote and buttons, and yeah I don't have four wiimote.

when i used the transform code and had yoshi in the fianl level 2 castle, when i beat the end boss, the game stopped.. yoshi couldnt move, and the game woudlnt advance.. you could jump off yoshi and run around, but you couldnt hit + for the in game menu either..  it seems  you cant breat a boss while sitting on yoshi or it borks the game at that point..

I'm playing NSMBW and have been highly disappointed in the movement physics of mario. He is extremely sluggish in all aspects of control compared to old school. I am requesting for someone to make a code that would always give me star power without the invincibility part if possible.  Star power makes things feel nice and old school but I don't want to breeze through levels because of invincibility.

is it possible to make a code that allows you to play with the GC controller?

The game actually requires some of the motion sensor functions in the Wii-mote to function, like tilting platforms and stuff. Even though you probably could code for that, it would probably be a pain to do.
I was actually also wondering about the classic controller and map it like Super Mario World.

Spin Jump to A
Jump to B
Run to Y

As far as motion stuff goes with platforming tilting, I'm pretty sure the game handles it like "On and off" and you might be able to simply change what triggers it. If it is analog, then the Cstick could work for that but I think L/R would work tons better. Another idea if it is analog would be to assign just 1 value from the range if using the whole range of analog would be too much work. Assign the strongest value to L/R for tilting

There still is some other motion sensing things to deal with as well like picking up objects. For springs, you should only be required to be able to pick it up if you simply hold Y just like in Mario World. The same should go with ice blocks and propeller blocks. You should only have to press Y while on top of them to pick them up just like Mario 2. Why Nintendo decided to add an unnecessary shake feature is beyond me when the traditional controls work 10x better.

But I'm no hacker so I don't know how easy it is to swap input recognition

I have a request... I would like a code that either allows the Super Guide block to automatically be inserted into the level or one that starts all levels in Super Guide mode. I wanna try something and it's a pain to have to kill yourself 8 times just to use that feature. I tried looking for the address to do it myself but I didn't have much luck... I'm not a professional hacker or anything.

I loved the Koopa Shell Mario (I don't know it's real name sorry.) in New Super Mario Bros. on the DS, and I thought the Penguin would be the same, but it's not. I just can't stand the slowing down. If it's possible, is there a way to make Penguin Mario slide at a normal rate (the rate he starts at coming from a full speed run), on any surface?

For peace of mind, I would love the following codes:

1) Disable Collision between players (so we can stop knocking each other off cliffs)
2) Disable the sliding when the characters stop running
3) Disable the sudden lag when someone dies or grabs a power up

I really have no idea how to snag the addresses for these myself.

I agree, a code like this would be great. I wanna play this game again, but it's too easy, and the bubble just pretty much prevents you from losing lives. Can you just modify the Wiimote's A button to make you jump or something? That way you wouldn't be able to bubble.

Maybe we could also have a code that makes you die in one hit, no matter what suit you have? Just for more challenge. :)

Well i know i can't do it cause i haven't been able to find anything to compare against when the character data moves when the game switches character slots. Hopefully someone more experienced then me can give you what you want. anyways here is my more recent version of the code.  it works exactly the same just smaller and less registers being used

if you noticed when playing with more characters, Notice the game will sometimes switch the character positions at the start of a level, from 1st to last. thats the problem i haven't been able to solve.

Haha, Ok; sorry about that. :)  I'm using the code that requires you to press B to use the Moon jump.  I also have a code that says press B on the Wimote to enable/disable invincibility.  I can try those together or separate and they still don't work.  I'm OK with the "no hit" code but wanted the invincible code to work.

When you press the B button you should get moon jump with that code, the other codes I put in so my 6yr old son can get through the levels with no problem. I'm using cheat manger , and then starting Gecko with default settings. At that point you should have full invincibility (all the time) and be able to press the B button and have your moon jump. If you use the transformation code you can also get star power when you press the B button along with moon jump.

Thanks to all the people who have created these great codes, they get used a whole lot around here!!

Thanks, Brad!!  Some of those are very different from what I've seen!!  Yes, I love the transformation code as well. :)  I kinda ruined the game already with my SD card and getting 100% in everything.  Damned Bowser always gets me. >:(  I just need more practice with the propeller suit.  Softmodding my Wii was a great idea and I get a lot more use out of it now. :)  Sadly, I haven't played a lot of modern games and the last newer systems I played religiously were the SNES and Genesis.  I had a PS1 but used that for Wheel of Fortune and Crash Warped.

Yes, I have gotten them to work with other games. :)  I don't have a lot that are compatible with Wiird unfortunately and I had to downgrade my IOS so I could use cheats with Mega Man 9.

They work!!  Thank you SO MUCH!! :D  My only problem was being on Yoshi all the time and had to get used to shaking the controller to dismount.  Couldn't fly while on him. :(

Great! Yea if you have star power when you go into a pipe, you will have Yoshi on the other side. So disable star power before you go into a pipe or door and you should open next frame without Yoshi.

I have a few questions brkirch, and when I say "spawn code" I'm referring to "spawn actor relative to player position"...

1) Is it possible to spawn more than one actor at once? Could I modify the spawn code with multiple actor codes? Could I use multiple spawn codes with unique actor codes?

2) I want to spawn all 7 Koopaling bosses at once. If the above is possible, would it be possible to make the Koopalings notice you then start attacking as soon as they're spawned? Right now I've tested Larry so far and he attacks only if I just on him first. I want him to say "Huh?!", stomp around, and attack just like in the boss battle. I tried changing the state byte from 0 to 1 but that didn't change anything. Do you know any valid state bytes that could cause changes in actor behaviors?

3) Can you modify the spawn actor code to work with Z on the Nunchuk? Right now it only works with the Wiimote only.

04 should be 05 basicly it's the same for all code types just add one to the second character and it's like adding 1 to the second character of the address you're writing to

These codes are awewsome, it has made playing with my daughter so much more enjoyable.
what im looking for now is a way to have star power for all four players, much like the transformation code is for all four players. ive tried cutting and pasting the existing codes, trying to get a code like this, but obviously it doesnt work!!!
also i think it would be pretty cool if in single player, when you do the ground stomp (jump then press down) it has the same effect as when you do it together in multiplayer!
but thanks for all the effort you fellas have done already, i remember using a game genie back in the day for some pretty awesome stuff, but that was a much simpler system! at least for the genesis and nintendo

Having some issues with the actor spawning code. Got the Hero Car working, but now I want to turn Goombas into Bowser Jr.s to make a bit of a challenge out of it but it doesn't seem to work. Mainly because I'm A, not sure what number to enter where and if I'm putting it in correctly.

EDIT: 2 Ok, I was able to SPAWN Bowser Jr, but I got the stage and propeller blocks with it! Any way I can exclude these? O_o

On another note, I have 2 requests to make. 1, an infinite time code since the time pauser code is kind of useless imo. 2, some way to exit the Hero Car in a simmilar manor to hopping off Yoshi. Something that doesn't involve mowing down an enemy from a weird angle to get pushed out of the car. And 3 some way to stop Mario's cap from vanishing when you hit 99 lives. Cool easter egg as it is, his unchanging level end animations make it look weird. O_o

You have the Homebrew Channel, right?

If so, download Accio Hacks and put that folder into a folder on your SD named apps.

On Accio Hacks, you can choose to turn codes on or off. You can even modify them!

I used the All Gold Stars code (040CE404 380000FF)prior to beating the world 2 castle (the maze level), but after I beat it, I found I couldn't reach world 3, what gives?

Would it be possible to tweak the code that unlocks all worlds (04C7FE90 00000101 + 04C7FE94 01010101 + 04C7FE98 01010100) so that it only unlocks the first three worlds?  Either way, if you use the unlock all worlds code, does it unlock world 9 and/or unlock all levels in each world?  I'm curious.

I guess as of now, using that All Gold Stars code in a castle and beating it doesn't appear to be a good idea if you want to unlock the next world...can someone fill me in on this scenario, please?  It's a bit on the baffling side.

I honestly thought someone could do these codes a long time ago, can you make a code to play as red toad
(but since he's never player controlled, you might need a code to let him be controlled by you)
and yoshi, since they can do all the stuff every one else can do
(With the exeption of yoshi's tounge, and toad can't get the flowers,the suits, or a mini mushroom while a cpu is controlling him but what happens when a real player is?) so you should be to plays toad at least, maybe yoshi. now that that's all over with, can i have the codes? ???
