So due to heavy torrential rainfall, Calgary has declared a local state of emergency after rising rivers have taken out most of High River (to the North) and parts of Canmore (ditto). The downtown core has been shut down and there are numerous communities going without power & water and people have been evacuated to either friends and families' or the evac zones.
Pretty whacky stuff going on today...
I'm very sorry to hear that, and I hope everything turns out to be good. Good luck over there and let us know. :/
Oh man, that's rough... stay safe
and if it starts to flood in your home, be sure to seal up removable memory drives. People may not think about it, but things like that are easy to protect and worth way more as they are than whatever insurance can replace it with...
I thankfully live pretty far from any rivers, but at least 26 communities down south have been evac'd and downtown kind of looks... trippy.
Glad to hear that O0
From the sounds of it, downtown where I work is still shut down and they might not have functionality until the middle of next week...
At least you're safe mate.
