Title: Addresses appearing in the 81 mem range that usually(I think) in 80
Post by: toonlink444 on April 30, 2012, 06:48:51 PM
So I have searched for Mario's Health address for SMG1 lots of times to recall my knowledge after a bit of a break from hacking to do more important or get a change of pace. So the last time I searched for Mario's health it was in the 80 mem range now it's in the 80 mem range. This occurs with other games also sometimes. Is this normal or do I need to fix something?

moving addresses can be weird...
I don´t care about it much, as long as I can get a good breakpoint or pointer off.

True but the pointer for mario's health sometimes is in the 81 mem range when the tutorial I followed when I first was learning mario's health hack was in the 80

Yeah games like Super Mario Galaxy have some weird addresses. Try to do some ASM coding like simple nop instruction on your breakpoint address, so there's no pointer need and you don't have to care about the moving Pointer addresses  :)
