Title: Enable SD Loader for "NON-SD functionally Games"
Post by: Deathwolf on January 10, 2012, 10:24:50 PM
Actually, most of you knows the File Patch code, File replacement code from Phantom Wings which is for SSBB.
Super Smash Bros Brawl uses a function for loading datas like Replays, Photos and so on from the SD Card.

My question is now, is it possible to write such a code again for another game even when the game doesn't have a SD function?

I would say yes because you can play your saved games from an SD card(non - pirated) correct me if that's wrong. Phantom Wings did it by looking at a dump of the SD loading process.(That's what I heard on kitty corp at least) So I would look at how the game loads off the SD card if it can and then find a way to edit the in game content like model textures.
Take what I said as an idea more then a factual statement.

If you use Y.S.'s extended code list, you could probably fit the libOGC SD libs into an ASM code (I'm guessing they're well under the 32KiB limit).  That said, why not just use Riivolution?
