I have been messing around with alot of games that have unlocks, just wondering whats the best way to go about making unlock codes,
so say im playing an atv game and it has cetain models locked intell you do or reach a certain point or score
unlock something. search unknown equal. now go to a different menu. search equal. unlock something else. search greater than. now go to different game menu. search equal. repeat each time you unlock something.
or use different save profiles where one has things unlocked while the other doesn't.
search unknown equal on one save profile. search equal again. load a different save profile. search greater than (if its the save profile with things unlocked). search equal. back to previous save profile. search less than. search equal. load other save profile again. repeat.
Export a few unencrypted saves, so that the only difference is one thing is unlocked. Compare saves in a hex editor to determine where the unlock variable is stored. Be on the lookout for single-bit changes (i.e. 0x8 -> 0xC, 0x2->0x6, etc). Once you find that offset, look in the hex editor for some kind of "signature" that will help you find the save in RAM. Once you find the address in RAM, you can use breakpoints to see what is unlocking things.
what do you recomend to unencrypt saves?
