Title: Skyward Sword blacks at cutscenes.
Post by: Cookychan on November 24, 2011, 08:26:17 AM
I picked up my preorder today (AU launch) and happily shoved it in, it boots fine through the Disc Channel (as it should), but, when I want to play with cheats, I use Gecko, and it keeps black screening at cutscenes. Is anyone else experiencing this? I'm at my wits end! Please help~

Nevermind yo', I changed my hook type in Gecko to VBI and seems to be running like a dream now. :)

yeah.
VBI and Ossleepthread are the best hooktypes.
VBI is very stable, but doesn´t work for any game.
Ossleepthread may make problems on some games, but works fine on games that don´t work with VBI.

I'm now running into a new problem: It's blacking out at the entrance to the Earth Temple.

Does it freeze there just by having Ocarina enabled the hook set to VBI, without codes? Before fixing this problem, the source of the problem needs to be identified, could be the hook, but could also be one of your codes.
