i was wondering if i could request some codes for this game.
Infinite Super Ability
Always Invincible
Power-up Tools Don't Overheat
Ability Mod/Super Ability Mod
Always Super Inhale Without Shaking Wiimote
also, can someone fix the Infinite Health code. i'm not sure what the problem is, but it freezes the game when you choose a level.
it might be, because of USB Loader, but i'm not exactly sure.
How about a Power Selector?
Able to change powers at anytime would be a plus.
FYI, I can help hacking codes on Friday (probably).
Can someone map the Guard button to the B button instead of A. feels awkward the way it is right now.
OK long one, bare with me, I would like for a code that makes it so that the game doesn't 'freeze' the screen when you use a super ability's attack. its the only thing i dont like about the game becauses it pauses all the action and is annoying in multiplayer and sad to see the developers didn't do anything about it. It would be nice if your friends and the enemies could keep moving throughout the attack so i hope someone can fufill this request, i'd be so thankful.
Has the Inf Health code been fixed to stop freezing?
The game has a protection of some sort. You'll have to wait until someone cracks it.
I already made one.... however
codes that are using this pointer 48000000 80DC6DF4 should work fine
Requesting code that changes Player 1 Kirby to a different color like the other kirbys- Green, Yellow, and Blue

All codes work fine! :D
But will there be a code for "stop timer in challenges"?
Walk through walls code. Epic Yarn had one.

Also, while it's probably conditional on the ASM workaround and someone caring a huge amount, a full Classic Controller hack would be fantastic for this game.
haha, it's funny you should ask, crediar broke the ASM protection *and* made a CC hack. It's still being play-tested a bit, but it will probably be released in the very near future. In the mean time, if you don't know how gameconfig.txt works you might want to do some research. It will be necessary to disable the ASM protection.

Following codes require the gameconfig.txt patch
can anyone explain how to use the gameconfig on a actual wii and not a emulator? which of these codes are usable on a wii console?
AFAIK, emulators don't do gameconfig. It's an exclusively Wii thing. All codes on this site and in the geckocodes database should work on the Wii.
Take the text from crediar's patch file. Add it to a file called "gameconfig.txt". Place the file on the root of your SD card. This will disable the ASM protection and allow you to use ASM codes like Bully's.

does this gameconfg work with hard drive loaders? i have the game riped to my hard drive from my disc and i don't use the stand alone geko channel anymore.
Depends on the loader.
Look at whatever USB Loader's website that you have.
Normally, however, you can just put the gameconfig file in where it saves your Gecko codes.
AFAIK, gameconfig.txt does not belong in SD:\codes\
It belongs in SD:\gameconfig.txt
Then again, I'm only familiar with Gecko OS. Other loaders may be different; check with the developer. We don't support backup-loaders here.

Code for this is pointless, there's already controls to not use waggle.. look in the controls section of the pause menu.
Sorry if this offends you.
@Bully:
I'm not too sure if this is an issue with your code, or a side-effect of something else, but I got to stage 7 of Arena using your Infinite Health and Invincibility codes. Of course the bosses are completely random, however when I was fighting the Fatty Puffer, he became invincible instead of me, so hit-detection had gone away completely. (And only for that boss too... weird)
Which invincibility code was it, if it was my pointer one, I'll take alook at it.
I'm using Bully's invincibility one that he posted in the Codes section...
Also an update regarding it, it makes some of the enemies in Extra Mode non-hit detectable as well. Leading to hilariously bad results.
about the gameconfig.txt file; I've tried to get it to work on my kirby game(by putting it in the root directory of course), but it seems that it does not want to read it and the codes I put in that requires the gameconfig.txt file does not want to work at all.
is there some kind of code or certain setting on Gecko OS to get the gameconfig.txt to work? I'm at my wit's end. DX

Does your gameconfig.txt have SUKE01: before the series of patches?
well of course! I usually double-check everything before I start using the codes and/or patches.
even with that "SUKE01:" game ID is there as well as all codes that was in the 'krtdcd.txt' file into the gameconfig.txt file, I still can't seem to get the gameconfig.txt to work. *sigh*

and I tried to avoid that.
It seems to work fine on story mode, doesn´t it?
Well, then I´d suggest to use thomas83lin´s pointer version.

@Bully i posted a Asm version in the usa code section that should work for 4 players r28 should hold a check on the player\cpu, I've just never posted it the Db. Our codes is pretty close to one another.
0=P1
1=P2
2=P3
3=P4
edit:
But just now fully testing it, it failed also, later on the water galboros, So i guess that check is no good.hmm oh well.lol
Ok i see the problem its got multi stuff going through making r28 fail, you may try following it back through the Asm and get a better hook, 805026C8 looks promising using r31 for a pointer you may not even need the check.
Go Swimming added to Database. I recommend using it with deathwolf's speed modifier set to 40200000. Awesome :)

put gameconfig.txt in root, also put it in the loader's folder, also put it in the Codes folder, 1 of them should work
ok, I've finally realized after testing the bastard out; that a certain setting of the hooks would need to be used in order to get the codes that require patches from the gameconfig.txt file to work. and the hook is...
Wii pad
I was using other hooks like OSSleepThread; which also works for codes that doesn't require the gameconfig.txt file.
I'm guessing that the patch was set up to use the Wii pad hook as default; is what I'm guessing.
also, I've left the gameconfig.txt in the root folder. ;P even though I tried the other places you told me; which failed and crashed the game.
pain in the ass to figure this one out the hard way...
PS. I'm using the USB Gecko and Gecko OS 1.9.3.1 with Gecko.NET. the Wii pad hook does not work with USB Gecko; which Gecko.NET doesn't recognize the USB Gecko with Wii pad set up as the hook.
I am guessing that the Wii pad is set up for use of SD codes and not the USB Gecko.
- Soldjermon
Select VBI Hook in Gecko OS
and put the gameconfig.txt to the root of your SD Card.
This isn´t too difficult, is it?

Not so much a magical option, but rather using the + pad and hammering on it back and forth/doing 360s will 'circumvent' the need to shake.
I'm pretty sure the super hammer and the super snow ball still require shaking..
indeed superhammer and snowball still require real shaking.
You can patch that but it messes up the snowball but it should work fine with the hammer.

if possible, i would like to request a code for instant fully charged Spark Beam, please?
and also, a code for one-time use powers to have unlimited usage (Mike & Crash, but does not include Sleep, but go ahead for the lulz if you want)
Greetings, gents.
If it's plausible, I'd like to request a code that disables the ability to double jump or float in midair. Thanks!
That is genius. It didn't even cross my mind. Hopefully it won't affect wing, making wing a more useful skill, even though it's one of my favs. I'll try it if no one does before me. Can't guarantee it since my "invisible players" couldn't happen. :/ But this is must have imo.

What do you mean? Do you mean in the same area as where you put the codes on your SD Card for GeckoOS?
http://pcsupport.about.com/od/termsr/g/rootfolder.htm
Codes are normally SD:\codes\[gameid].gct where [gameid] would be SUKE01. They are not in the root folder; they are in a sub folder called codes.
You will want to download that file, rename it "gameconfig.txt", and then place a copy of it on the root of your SD card, such that you would have a file "SD:\gameconfig.txt".
Note that I use SD:\ to describe whatever drive your SD card mounts as. My SD card mounts as G:\, yours may be E:\ or F:\, or whatever; I'm assuming you can figure it out because you can put codes on the SD card.
I got it to work. Thanks.
No more locking up problems with the codes I am using.
Thanks again.
Hi guys,
So I recently began playing this game after getting it for Christmas; I've successfully gotten a few codes working that require the Metafortress disable fix, yet I've noticed that you can still lose health from certain hazards (spikes and fire) if you have the Infinite Health code on...could someone possibly add more lines to this code to make hazards unable to hurt Kirby, please?
Also, as crazy as it sounds, could someone make a jump in mid-air (moon jump, I assume?) code, please? In 3-2, those Kuribo's Shoe-esque items are a little bit of an annoyance since Kirby cannot fly while in one, hence why I wish he could jump repeatedly in the air while in one.
Anyway, my thanks in advance.

Please be a bit clearer as to what you've done already. Thanks
Like I said, Ive tried to launch the game without codes, with "normal hook" and VBI Hook in Gecko OS, but it continuous freezing.
then I try to use some codes with the "gameconfig.txt" thing but still nothing. And yes, I put that in the root of the SD...
I dont know what else to say, its the first time this happened to me...
Can you boot it normally without using GeckoOS/HBC from your Wii Main Menu?
The thing is have version 3.3 U ... so... I cant.... I dont want to upgrade now... you think maybe thats the problem?
It's a possibility, but I doubt it.. I run 4.3 (or whatever is most recent that came with Kirby or some other game from that release date)
But you're using the very text from here, right?

Check your Gecko boot config options as well. If the System Language is not English or NTSC-U the game WILL crash.

untrue.
If the patches are enabled, you are allowed to have any system language.
I tried with German and it worked. The loaders modify assembly in the RAM when a different language is forced and that triggers the protection.
So you have to either be very careful about the booting options or just use the patches to be save.
Both, PAL and NTSC-U patches work very well.
thanks Bully.
Well, seems that Im not the only one with this problem. I was looking for, and found that several had problems with this game.
Anyway, I found in some forums (google) that I need the newest version of the iOS... to be honest I dont even know how to update that thing, since Im using the most basic method for this, im not an expert in hacking. Im using gecko 1931, and thats it...

Perchance could you do a code that applies to Waddledee, or one of the other partners? I don't mind if it's unstable/doesn't work with Kirby.
i was just wondering, has anyone worked on a code to make Spark Kirby instant charged so he always shoots Spark Beams?
i just wanted to know if someone is still working on that.
Not sure, but once I get my PC back I could try to make it.
I was wondering if anyone would be able to take the "smash" power up from Kirby's dream collection and inject it into this game. I'm sorry if this doesn't belong in this thread.
I don't know if this is the right place for this, but when attempting to use Gecko codes with this game, Gecko OS v1.9.3.1 brings up a message about a (DSI) exception, and I have to shut down the Wii. The codes I'm using are:

And even though it shouldn't be necessary, I do have the gameconfig.txt file. Any help? (Does the cause involve "gecko register 1", whatever that means?)
Probably does not involve Gecko Register 1, I don't see the other codes doing anything with it.
If you could post a picture of the DSI exception we might be able to help more. At the very least, what does the DSI exception say for SRR0? That tells us where the crash happened. Also, if DAR is not zero, what is it?
Can you load the game without any codes enabled, but with gameconfig.txt?
I can indeed load the game with gameconfig.txt but without codes. Additionally, I'm not sure what happened, as I haven't changed any settings on my end that I hadn't already tried, but for some reason it seems to be working fine now.
By the way, I'd like a code for the Sword, Fire, Beam, Hammer, and Ice abilities allowing the player to hold the 1 button for two seconds to use a single-use version of the corresponding Super Ability (basically, hold 1 to instantly gain the Super Ability, automatically use it, and then automatically drop it). Not sure how manageable that would be, but it's something that I've been wishing was in the game basically since I first got it.
Also a code to allow use of Team Attacks by yourself by holding A and pressing 1, if at all possible (should be a ton easier than the previous one).
I am trying to use the gameconfig.txt file to disable metafortress, and no luck so far... I have the txt file on root of SD card and also have SD File Patcher enabled in Gecko OS Config. When I boot game, Gecko OS says patch file not found. What can I do about this? Please help and thanks :)
