Title: Gamecube controller address
Post by: goemon_guy on October 19, 2011, 01:13:59 AM
I've heard that the Wavebird, (Wireless Gamecube Controller)
and the Wired Controller have different button addresses.

Is this true?
I've never seen any instances of this being true. o.o

We got reports at Fuzziqer Software that GCARS-CS (which synchronizes pad data) had issues with Wavebirds.  I don't believe we ever looked into it thoroughly, but it would be consistent with what you heard.  If you can narrow this down, please let me know... I'd like GeckoTunnel to work properly with Wavebirds if it doesn't already.

I have both a Wireless and Wired Gamecube controller, but the addresses are always the same.

I thought I may had been doing something wrong, is all.

It seems that my Wavebird has been able to use ALL Button Activators, even when someone has
stated, "Wavebird uses another address."

Yes the Wavebird has a different button address. I know this from SSBB...
