Title: Super Smash Bros. Melee Geckocodes page
Post by: goemon_guy on September 26, 2011, 07:27:03 PM
The codes on there are directly copied from GCNcrypt.

They haven't even removed the activator line, so the codes will crash the game if used.

He didn't even credit the original hackers, even though he said that he didn't hack them.

that has to do with the way geckocodes handles code credits. I'm pretty sure he just imported a text file of something he posted on the forums, the output makes it seem like a lot more credit stealing is going on than actually is. That being said, I still think he should remove them.

Good grief. I probably wont have time to clean it up tonight... and it looks like it's been there for a while

Thanks for pointing it out.

If it's still there in a few days.... can you possibly remind me? I am extremely busy right now and things are quickly forgotten...

Glitch, if you see this before I clean it up, remove all of those codes. You cannot post other people's work. You will be banned forever for posting other people's work without credit if it happens again. And even more, you can't post codes you obviously didn't even test and will freeze the game because you didn't know what you were doing. Just a warning this time.

Thank you, iGlitch.

When you convert GCN AR codes to WiiRD and you had to first decrypt them, be sure to tick the box in the bottom left that says "remove verifier lines".
If you'd like to have these on the database, if you can convert them and put the correct credit on them, I will add them under the correct hacker's accounts (I'll get permission if they're still around- I know many of them).
