Title: USB Gecko on Wii, Gamecube Mode
Post by: TT1337 on August 28, 2011, 08:22:31 PM
Hi all,

I hope you can hep me.

I recently got an USB Gecko and of course, I would like to hack something. I'm using the latest Wiird and Gecko dNet version and on my wii Gecko 1.9.3.1. When I try to hack Virtual Console or Wii Games, everything works very well. My Wii and my Computer recognizes the USB Gecko absolutely perfect.

So, now I would like to make some codes for my Gamecube games. I put in my Gamecube disc (Super Mario Sunshine PAL), started the disc via Gecko 1.9.3.1, Debugger yes and Hook Type as VBI, but as soon as the game starts, the connection fails. Neither Wiird nor Gecko dNet works. I even tried Gecko OS Mod, but this piece of software also does not work.

Please, could you give me some advice what I have to do, to use my USB Gecko on my Wii in Gamecube mode? Maybe some tutorial or something since I'm a very beginner yet.

Thanks for your time!  :)

Gecko OS Mod requires a cMIOS in order to run GC games.  You can download a cMIOS installer at the link Deathwolf gave.
