Awesome logic puzzles that require using math and deductive reasoning. They're called "nonograms".

Wikipedia has a great article on how to play and techniques.

aka Picross. Neat.
This is awesome. The last 30 min of work flew! =D
My friend has a book of these, except they make pictures D: also i found out i'm pretty good at them. my average time is around 30 seconds :D
Yeah, 5x5 takes like 30 seconds.
I think I normally do 15x15 in about three or four minutes.
The 30x30 took me an hour.
5x5 20-35 seconds
The 15x15s take me between 8 and 16 min..
...I just found a mistake 53 min into the 30x30 and only about 1/3 the squares are covered. If you can really finish one of these in an hour then that's amazing.. :o
Yeah, I made a mistake on the 30x30 and I had to carefully reverse engineer it. Thankfully, I noticed the mistake pretty quickly.
I've played a LOT of this game. If you played for 50 hours, you'd be pretty quick too.
It's great when I need to get my mind off a problem, because it completely drains my working memory.
I have this on DS so... yeah. Time flies.
I just did two 15x15 in a row. One took me 9 minutes, the other took me 5. Some of them are clearly harder than others.
In particular, I like ones where you can make a line on the outside edge at the start. Blocks along one edge can fill in many squares and cut the time it takes in half. Sometimes I hit New Puzzle a few times until I get one like that.
